Strange men should refrain from starting conversations with lone young ladies at coffee shops, clothing stores, and at their front door steps at 10pm. I officially have a stalker. :X I shall go in further details later.

I would kill for a movie night at home.

When I was an undergraduate, I had one alarm clock. When I was a young professional, I had two alarm clocks. Now I'm a graduate student, and I need FOUR alarm clocks to wake up. I never slept in late for work for the two years I was a young prof and I might have slept through half a class during my years at UNC. I've slept through three alarm clocks on two separate occasions in the past three weeks. I feel brain dead. What is it about reading, papers, and class that makes you want to never get out of bed? My only incentive to peel my body out of the covers is the thought of movie night on Friday and that's tomorrow.

In one of my classes today, we had to go around the room and tell our classmates what alternative career we would have chosen if we did not go into psychology. Apparently, they find the response, "I would want to be a housewife who shops all day," uproariously amusing. They have no idea that I am totally serious. Fuck school. Hand me the Amex and the Betty Crocker apron.

Sometimes I don't feel smart because I have to study in order to get a good grade. You know those kids who can skip class, skim over two chapters, and ace a physics test? Well do me a favor and slap them in the face for me.

What constitutes intellectualism? It could be having the ability to listen a song one time and know the lyrics by heart, typing a wicked Java program, or completing a calculus test in 35 minutes. An intellectual, in my book, is someone who pays his bills on time, buys me things, watches Arrested Development, and can shoot the shit with the homeless guy sitting on a milk crate. Looks like I got my want-ad drafted. Oh my god, I'm going to end up with a freakshow.
